At liminial devices we've decided we want to take down the tech-oligarchy one click at a time. We we do so with tech developed by the community for the community, robbing the oligarchy of their precious pennies they siphon during each click on your device. Community driven iniatives through many Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) allow technologists (like those at liminal) the opportunity to offer smart phones with all the bells and whistles you'll ever need while protecting your identity. T

Liminal devices is currently just one guy looking to convert old android hardware into a usable, secure, upcycled device with all the modern features you expect from a phone in 2025 and beyond (hold the AI please!). There will be a knowledge base setup and community forums to allow for each of you to become a technologist against the oligarchy!

The flagship device is a Google Pixel 4a 5G running Lineage OS 22 (AOSP 15) which has the power to run all the apps you need, 5g antenna for fast mobile internet speeds (though over 200+ hardware devices are supported!). Liminal devices loads each device with lineage os and a curated set of apps that don't track you (or advanced users can even setup their own servers, aka "mother ships" for your phone to call home to).
